Icelandic horse (via pas le matin)
The Icelandic horse is a breed of horse developed in Iceland since 900 and had no crosses. Importations of horses are forbidden in the island since 10th century. The breed is quite small, long-lived and hardy. It comes in many coat colors and has two gaits in addition to the typical walk, trot, and canter/gallop : tölt and flugskeið (flying pace).
